Good health is the foundation of a better life. Unfortunately, thousands of families across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), particularly those living in remote and underserved communities, have little or no access to quality healthcare. Many people are unable to afford medical treatment, essential medicines, or even routine health check-ups, leaving preventable illnesses untreated and placing lives at risk.

At Noori Welfare Foundation (NWF), we believe that access to healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege. Our Medical & Healthcare Programme is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families by providing free medical services, promoting preventive healthcare, and strengthening access to quality medical facilities.

Our Current Healthcare Initiatives

Free Medical Camps

NWF regularly organizes Free Medical Camps in underserved rural and urban communities where access to healthcare is limited. These camps provide consultations with qualified doctors and healthcare professionals, helping people receive timely diagnosis and treatment without financial burden.

Our medical camps offer:

  • General health consultations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses
  • Free medicines
  • Blood pressure and blood sugar screening
  • Health awareness and preventive care education
  • Maternal and child health advice
  • Referrals for specialized treatment when required

These camps ensure that vulnerable families receive essential healthcare services close to their communities.

Free Eye Care Camps

Vision problems often go untreated in low-income communities due to the high cost of eye examinations and treatment. Through our Free Eye Care Camps, NWF provides comprehensive eye screening services to children, adults, and the elderly.

Our eye camps include:

  • Professional eye examinations
  • Vision testing
  • Diagnosis of common eye diseases
  • Distribution of free prescription glasses where needed
  • Referral for cataract and other specialized eye surgeries
  • Eye health awareness and preventive education

By restoring sight and improving eye health, we help individuals return to school, work, and daily life with renewed confidence.

These hospitals will offer a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, maternal and child health, diagnostic services, specialist consultations, and surgical treatment.

Rural Dispensaries and Primary Healthcare Centres

Many villages in remote areas have no nearby healthcare facilities, forcing patients to travel long distances for even basic medical treatment. NWF plans to establish a network of community dispensaries and primary healthcare centres to ensure that essential healthcare services are available closer to those who need them most.

These facilities will provide:

  • Primary healthcare services
  • Essential medicines
  • Maternal and child healthcare
  • Vaccination support
  • Health education
  • First aid and emergency care
  • Ongoing disease prevention and health monitoring
